Antarctic is an incomplete dominant mutation that is allelic to the arctic mutation. Meaning that when paired with the arctic mutation, it will result in a compound heterozygous expression. This compound heterozygous expression is blend of the antarctic and arctic morphs. Antarctics have a washed out grey colouration that seems to resemble the axanthic colours, however they have a darker blue tint. There is often a lack of head pattern present. The saddles are brownish in colour.
