Ultramel Sable Arctic is a combination of the recessive sable mutation, the recessive caramel mutation, the recessive albino mutation and the heterozygous incomplete dominant arctic mutation. Hatchlings have a pale cream to peach colouration with a subtle bluish sheen, which develops into a cream to pale orange background with bright orange saddles as the snake matures. The eyes are red. The sable mutation creates a high amount of iridescence. Iridophores are responsible for the reflective qualities and hues. The caramel mutation removes some of the head pattern and creates the well-known clean caramel belly.
