Toffeebelly Shadow is a combination of the recessive toffeebelly mutation and the polygenic shadow trait. This combination has a light gold-brownish colour. Often there are a lot more shades in a clutch. These colours vary from green, red, orange and yellow shades. The white line you see along the ventral scales in condas, is broken up by pyramid shaped pigmentation, which is usually smaller in classic/normal hognose snakes. Head pattern and other blotches have black edges giving it a shadow appearance. Some have an eyebrow above the eyes. This combination won't change as hognose normally do when they grow up. Shadow hognose all keep their dark look as they age.
