Shadow Arctic is a combination of the polygenic shadow trait and the heterozygous incomplete dominant arctic mutation. The arctic mutation creates the presence of black borders around the saddles, visible eyebrows and a lighter colour. The shadow mutation creates the larger squares in pattern or blocky saddles with heavy melanin concentration along the dorsal scales.
