Purple Rain is a combination of the recessive sable mutation, the recessive lavender mutation and the heterozygous incomplete dominant arctic mutation. This combination has a dark lavender colour with grey tones. The arctic mutation creates a lighter look, since the saddles are surrounded by white lines.
