Diablo is a mutation that only affects the eyes of the snake. Either one or both eyes get a solid black colour, caused by anisocoria. Anisocoria is a genetic defect which causes the pupil to have the same colour as the iris, which results in a fully solid coloured eye. It is still unknown how the diablo mutation is reproducible. However, it has been proven not to be recessive, dominant or incomplete dominant. Right now, it is believed to be a non-allelic mutation.
